29th October Wessex Area IHDT

Nicola Blandin and Oldmere Jester  won  the Open Pony class at the first Wessex indoor event of the season.

The babies went for a run with Minta and Kat Aburrow sharing the drive with Parc Cadno going HC and Minta driving  Parrock Thatchers Sweet William, half brother to 'The Boys' coming 4th in his first driven competition in the Novice Pony class.

27th October News Update

Minta with Wendy Wybrews grey boys have had a successful first trials season and have ended on a high by being included on the short list for the Pairs Class competing at the World Pony Championships in Denmark in July 2007.

Minta Says " Obviously Julie Hoskyns and Rachel Stevens will be on the team and if they send an individual there are several established competitors who are in contention - but to be even considered is a great honour and a great achievement for 'the boys' and the team"

15th October East Anglian Area IHDT Nicola Blandin and Oldmere Jester won their first indoor event of the season by winning the Open Pony class at Otley College. They were the only competitor to score under 200.

8th October  HOYS
The one that got away!!, Minta driving Wendy Wybrews Tilston Cardinal clinched the Supreme Harness Pony of the Year, but disaster struck just before the presentation of the rosettes when Cardinal forgot his manners and stood up sadly this relegated him to the Reserve Champion place.
Still a fantastic result for a family pony who does everything
16th-17th September What a weekend for the yard and associates!

Wendy Wybrew's Tilston Cardinal driven by Minta Winn was Meet of the Champions Supreme Champion at the National Carriage Driving Championships at Windsor.

Mutli tasking Minta was also 6th with the Pair in the HDT National Championships which is a great finish to the boys first season in trials. She also trained the National Pony Tandem Champion Allan Clarke.

At Drivers Dream pupil Kat Aburrow with Cappela was Junior Whip winner and the Style and Performance Non Traditional Champion. 

Also at Keysoe, Elaine Thompson and Will Leslie with Cortaflex Benny were Reserve Champions in the BDS Trec Championships

What a great finish to the season outside, Here we come HOYS!!

9th September Romsey Show Wendy Wybrew's Tilston Cardinal driven by Minta won the Driving Championship in a  build up to HOYS in October.
September Well the end of the show and outdoor season is nearly here and the show ponies are going home for their winter hols. So now we start preparing for the indoor season!!

We have taken on three more stables on the yard and will be running some 2 day courses over the winter so keep checking for the details and contact me if you think we can help you.

27th-28th August Normandhurst HDT. 

Wendy Wybrews  boys had a wonderful day in the pony pairs being 3rd after the dressage and holding that place for an overall 3rd in the class.  Steady improvement is paying dividends

August 2006 Ponies UK HOYS qualifier Nicola Blandin and Heniarth Quip were 4th  which isnt bad for a pony that hadnt been in a vehicle before February!!
4th- 6th August 2006 Lowther HDT A great result for Parrock Thatchers Tuppenny Royal and Tuppenny Bit keeping up their continual improvement. After dressage with 2 international judges and very tight marking they were  8th. They pulled ip to 3rd after the Marathon over a very tough course  with wonderful flowing obstacles and moved up another place in the cones leaving them 2nd overall. Pictures to follow.
6th August 2006 SDHC Annual Show. Sarah Jordons Stapleford Pocket Rocket was Reserve Supreme Champion.
21-23rd July 2006 Catton Hall HDT A much improved pair gained 5th in the dressage and 8th overall
9th July 2006 Surrey Area BDS Show. Elaine Thompson and Will Leslie had a one two in the exercise vehicle with Cortaflex Benny and Cortaflex Norris qualifying Benny for the Osbourne championships at Burghley. Elaine was also second in the Surrey Area whip class
30th June -2nd July Sandringham HDT In a big class the boys, Parrock Thatchers Tuppenny Royal and Tuppenny Bit, were much settled and were 10th overall.

21st June 2006 Lincoln County

Minta drove WendyWybrew's  Tilston Cardinal to win the under 13.2 private driving, the Pony Championship and to be 2nd Reserve Supreme Champion.

Cadnam Driving Show.

Some good results for the yard.

  • Stapleford Pocket Rocket and Sarah Jordon had a great day winning the under 13.2 private driving , the under 13.2 concours and taking the Private Driving Championship

  • Elaine Thompson and Will Leslie had a good day with Cortaflex Norris and Benny who were at their second show having been broken to drive by Minta  in 2005. Elaine drove Benny to 2nd in the Amateur Whip and the 4 wheel exercise vehicle class and Will drove Norris to 2nd in Novice pony and 3rd in 2 wheel exercise vehicle.

  • Kat Aburrow with Cappela was 1st in both Junior Whip and Amateur Whip.

11th June 2006  Pupil Kat Aburrow got the Osbourne qualifier for  Junior Whip at BDS Somerset show.

South Of England Show

Oldmere Jester wins the 13.2hh and under Private Driving at SofE driven by his owner Nicola Blandin.

Royal Cornwall 

Heniarth Quip wins the 13.2hh and under Private Driving at Royal Cornwall, only his 2nd show!!! driven by Nicola Blandin, Quip was broken to harness in Feb/March of this year.

14th May 2006 Royal Windsor Horse Show Concours d Elegance Champions 2006 and for the second year running were Parrock Thatchers Tuppenny Royal and Tuppenny Bit driven by Minta Winn and owned by Wendy Wybrew.  Click on Livery - Production to see a picture of the turnout at BDS Smiths Lawn 2005.

Brighton Driving Trials

Jake and Ollie (Parrock Thatchers Tuppenny Royal and Tuppenny Bit) owned by Wendy Wybrew finished 7th overall at their first National Event.
